ADVANCED NETWORK ENGINEER

Overview Advanced Network Engineer – Full Time, Camp Pendleton, CA, US Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually Responsibilities Design, implement, and harden complex network infrastructures; conduct deep packet analysis and provide network efficiency recommendations. Develop traffic profiles, perform root cause analysis, and support tactical and enterprise environments. Document advanced network training and maintain current certifications as required for the role. Work with cybersecurity measures including firewalls and IDS/IPS; participate in security boundary technologies. Utilize network modeling tools (e.g., GNS3) and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell, Linux shell). Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both local and remote settings; prepare technical documentation and reports. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications 7+ years of demonstrated network engineering experience and documented advanced network training. CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DOD IAT Level 2 security certification. Certified in Wireshark Certified Network Analyst or RCPE Professional Packet Analyzer Plus (or equivalent). Experience with VMware (vCloud) and data storage technologies. Experience with System Administration of MS Windows Server or Linux. Experience with Security Boundary Technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS). Experience with Network Modeling applications/tools (e.g., GNS3). Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell, Linux Shell). Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related IT, or equivalent operational experience (desired). Cisco CCNP or CCDP (Route/Switch) (desired). VMware Certified Professional Cloud Specialist (desired). IPv6 certification (desired). Other Role Details Position Type: Exempt; may be full-time or part-time with standard business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.); overtime not expected. Work Location: Camp Pendleton, CA; remote options may be available depending on role requirements. Security Clearance: Secret. Travel: 10%–15% within the Continental United States and 5%–10% outside. Reports To: Assigned Program Manager; Supervisory responsibilities: None. Work environment: Professional office or remote setting, low-noise, cybersecurity compliant, with standard office equipment.
