Direct Counsel is seeking a Business Litigation Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Position Type: Associate (Lateral)
Experience Level: 3–5 years

Direct Counsel is partnering with a global law firm to identify a mid-level associate for its Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Pittsburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation while gaining meaningful responsibility in a collaborative and well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct factual investigations and legal research
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery
• Prepare for and take depositions; argue motions
• Assist with hearings, trials, and overall case strategy
• Communicate directly with clients and contribute to client development efforts

Practice Areas Include:

• Commercial and business litigation
• Trade secrets and unfair competition
• Construction litigation
• Environmental and land use disputes
• Trust and estate litigation
• Shareholder and partnership disputes

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials and experience with complex litigation matters
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar
