Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Profession: Allied

Hours per Shift: Friday - Sunday 7 AM - 7:30 PM EST
Experience: Two years of CT experience required
License: Client Radiologic Technology license required prior to starting position
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) required
Must-Have:
- HCPs currently registered in Client must have injection therapy certification stated on their license
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience


Description:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures for patient safety.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.
Utilize safe patient handling practices.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system.
Ensure identifying images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Exhibit a patient and compassionate disposition.
Be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.
Injection certification is preferred, and the candidate must be willing to complete it during the orientation process.
