(And hoping they can get a job to pay them back.)Job Description:Under supervision and guidance, the Machinist Apprentice sets up and operates hand and machine tools as directed by your supervisor and other Journeyman Machinist.Essential Responsibilities:Machines various materials as directed.Modifies and adjusts metal parts for special projects.Performs preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, or machinery etc.Repair or make parts as directed.Assist in machine setup and teardown.Assists in the assembly and teardown of machinery and equipment as needed.Use, inspect, and maintain a variety of hand tools.Performs general tasks as assigned.Requirements:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) High School is required.Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential functions of this job description successfully.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
