Diesel Mechanic

Description AFC Transportation is the largest and fastest growing privately owned Charter Transportation Company in Texas. We are seeking a qualified Diesel Technician and Bus Mechanic to join our Houston facility. We operate a fleet of diesel and gas powered motor coach buses, school buses, transit buses, trolleys, mini buses and vans. Job Type Full‑time Mechanic Responsibilities, Duties & Qualifications Operates in a 2‑shift, 7‑day schedule. Flexible scheduling. Works independently. Participates in additional training programs. Position is safety sensitive. Performs preventive maintenance inspections, emergency and road failure repairs, and general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, brake and accessory systems. Wheelchair lift experience. Owns basic hand tools. Understands diesel engines, tires, air brake systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems, and performs preventive maintenance and repair. Documents all work completed and parts used. Trash truck maintenance experience is a plus. Offerings Salary range based on experience and qualifications. Benefits. Direct Deposit. Uniforms. Requirements At least 2 years of experience or technical training working on buses and diesel‑powered vehicles. High School diploma or equivalent. Ase certification is a plus but not required.
