Chief Medical Physicist

Aspirus Health is seeking a Chief Medical Physicist to join our team! The Chief Medical Physicist is integrally involved in the development, implementation, and oversight of the radiation therapy programs for five Wisconsin clinical sites and is based in Wausau, Wisconsin. Opportunity Information: Daily collaboration with a highly skilled team of physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and radiation oncologists. Travel/coverage to outreach locations, potentially weekly, required Oversight of QA, upgrades, equipment calibration, and installations Primary contact for dosimetry support, equipment issues, and safety oversight. Position Requirements: Knowledgeofradiationoncologyandrelatedtechnologystandardsandprotocolsnormallyacquiredthroughcompletionofa master’s degree or PhD in medical or radiological physics from an AAPM accredited institution. KnowledgeandexperiencewithVarianTruebeam/tomotherapylinear accelerators and Pinnacle treatment planning system. ABRor ABMP certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Seven or more years’ experience as a medical physicist. Previousexperienceinrunning projects, overseeing installation, and mentoring other physicists beneficial.
