Job Title: Picker Packer

Job Description

This role involves accurately picking and packing food products in a cold storage facility using RF scanner equipment. You stay on your feet for the entire shift, handle heavy items safely, and maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure orders are completed correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Pick food products from designated locations in a cold storage facility according to order requirements.

• Pack products securely and efficiently to prevent damage during handling and transport.

• Use RF scanner guns to locate, verify, and record items and orders in the warehouse system.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when picking and packing items.

• Lift, move, and stack heavy products safely throughout the shift.

• Remain on your feet for the entirety of the shift while performing picking and packing tasks.

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for working in an extremely cold environment.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient operations.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity and quality targets.

Essential Skills

• Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse or distribution environment.

• Ability to use RF scanner guns to locate and track inventory and orders.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely throughout the shift.

• Capability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift.

• Comfort working in an extremely cold storage facility environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environment.

• Familiarity with food product handling and basic warehouse processes.

• Reliability and consistency in meeting productivity and quality expectations.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cold storage facility where temperatures remain extremely low to preserve food products. You work the night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., spending your entire shift on your feet while moving throughout the warehouse. The environment involves regular use of RF scanner guns and standard warehouse equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety practices appropriate for cold conditions. Warm, practical attire suitable for extended work in low temperatures is essential to stay comfortable and safe during the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
