Pay Range: $110,000 to $125,000 Job Summary All Current Electric is looking for a hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology operations while working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team that runs them. This is a true player-coach position: you will own the day-to-day management of IT across all sites and carry a real technical workload yourself, handling escalations, supporting end users, and driving infrastructure projects alongside the people you lead. Reporting to the Technology Director, you will be the primary operational lead for a multi-site organization of more than 200 employees, guiding a team of three technical support professionals. You will set the standard for service, reliability, and security from the front line as you lead by example. Job Responsibilities IT Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three IT support professionals by example, working alongside them on daily support and projects. Establish service standards, priorities, and performance metrics for IT operations. Build a customer-service-focused IT culture across the organization. Hands-On Support & Operations Personally work support tickets and escalations as part of the daily queue. Provide coverage across all support functions and serve as senior escalation for complex issues. Own hardware, software, mobile device, and workstation lifecycle programs. Infrastructure & Systems Administration Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise systems and infrastructure. Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure services, file systems, backup solutions, and endpoint management platforms. Ensure the reliability and performance of systems, cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and business applications. Network Administration Manage LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and internet connectivity across all facilities. Monitor network performance and implement improvements that maximize uptime and efficiency. Coordinate network upgrades, equipment refreshes, and capacity planning. Cybersecurity & Risk Management Execute and operate day-to-day security controls; monitor security events and drive vulnerability remediation. Help maintain security policies, standards, and awareness programs in support of the organization's security strategy. Coordinate and participate in incident response activities. Business Continuity & Strategic Projects Help maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Execute infrastructure modernization and technology improvement initiatives. Participate in company integrations and location-expansion projects. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience. 7+ years of progressive, hands-on IT experience across infrastructure, networking, and systems administration. 3+ years leading technical teams or IT operations while remaining hands-on. Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365 and Active Directory. Experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless, and security platforms. Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management principles. The ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Relevant certifications such as Microsoft (Azure / M365), CompTIA (Network+, Security+), or Cisco. Experience in a multi-site manufacturing or distribution environment. Demonstrated knowledge of recognized security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls). Essential Job Function Success in this role looks like: Taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations across all sites and becoming the primary operational lead for support, escalations, and infrastructure maintenance. Actively sharing the team’s front-line workload. Developing and mentoring the team, with clear service standards and coverage expectations in place. Improving network reliability and system performance across all locations. Helping execute a scalable technology roadmap that supports business growth.
