Job Description As a Security Officer Clearance Required Patrol Operations in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control and badge procedures, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activity. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $26.79 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter setting. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements Possess an active DoD Secret clearance. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
