Test Technician
This position will primarily be responsible for conducting product tests according to their test procedure and perform to their designed standards. The test methodology depends on the product being tested. Test technicians work in a wide range of fields, from electrical, mechanical, and environmental. Working conditions may vary, some technicians can spend most of the day on their feet at workstations, while others stay seated and perform automated test using Automated Test Equipment. Test technicians may assist Test Engineers with clarifying test documentation and troubleshoot test failures.
Essential duties and responsibilities include performing tests on multiple product lines, ensuring accuracy of records, training peers, calibration, minor repairs, facilitation of huddles, and contributions to process improvements and safety leadership.
Skills and requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years' experience in a related field, familiarity with lab instrumentation, lab test equipment, proper testing techniques, and safety awareness, strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and train others, and ability to lift 35 lbs.
Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in electronics, engineering, technology, or a related field, experience with pressure testing, and experience working within an SAP ERP environment.
Salary range: $28.00/hr to $47.00/hr. There are typically no travel requirements for this position.
