Director of Manufacturing - Operations Leadership

Position Overview

Agile Professional Services is recruiting an accomplished Director of Manufacturing for a senior leadership opportunity with an established manufacturing organization in Northeast Indiana.

We are seeking a results-driven leader with extensive experience overseeing manufacturing operations, developing high-performing management teams, and driving measurable improvements in productivity, profitability, quality, and operational performance.

Candidates with backgrounds in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, automotive, packaging, and other complex manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction across manufacturing operations.
Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers and operational leadership teams.
Drive operational improvements in productivity, OEE, throughput, labor efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Oversee operational budgets, cost management, capital investments, and resource allocation.
Champion Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
Establish performance metrics, accountability, and a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Significant progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably at the Plant Manager, Director of Operations, or Director of Manufacturing level.
Proven success leading complex manufacturing operations and developing leadership teams.
Experience with financial performance, operational budgets, and capital planning.
Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and deliver measurable results.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
Food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience is an advantage but not required.
