Controller

The client is seeking a Controller responsible for accounting operations that support the preparation, maintenance, analysis, verification, and reconciliation of financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This role will help ensure the accuracy of the company’s ledgers and support the consolidation of subsidiary financial statements, with a focus on producing accurate and timely financial data. Key responsibilities include coordinating monthly reconciliation and consolidation efforts, completing required monthly journal entries, and preparing variance reports that outline adjustments. The Controller will reconcile inter-company accounts, resolve variances, and actively support the full month-end close cycle, including AP, AR, cash, and financial statement preparation, as well as other ad hoc reporting. The role also involves collaborating with business units to gather financial information, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of close and consolidation processes, and responding promptly to ad hoc queries. The Controller will interface with external auditors for quarterly reviews and support annual audit documentation and inquiries. Required qualifications include a BA or BS in Accounting and demonstrated competency with US GAAP; a CPA is strongly preferred. The position typically calls for 2–3 years of work experience, with public accounting experience preferred, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and superior organization, time management, communication, and critical thinking skills. Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus, and prior experience in related Controller, Accounting Director, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant roles may be beneficial. Confidential
