Our client is a highly respected provider of moving, relocation, and logistics solutions seeking a commercially driven General Manager to lead their branch operations. While the facility handles a blend of services, this role is heavily focused on expanding the commercial footprint and driving B2B revenue. You will take full ownership of branch profitability, strategic sales initiatives, and operational excellence, requiring a leader who brings direct, hands-on commercial sales experience to the table to actively drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full P&L responsibility for the branch, driving profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency across all business lines.
- Execute direct commercial sales efforts, actively prospecting and generating new revenue streams in the O&I, FF&E, and commercial logistics sectors.
- Oversee day-to-day operations for high-volume commercial projects as well as residential moves, ensuring exceptional service delivery from dispatch to completion.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of sales professionals, project managers, and operations staff.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, facility managers, and strategic local partners.
- Monitor local market trends, optimize pricing structures, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting within the company's CRM and operating systems.
Key Experience & Skills Required
- Direct experience and a proven track record in commercial moving sales and B2B business development.
- Proven leadership experience as a General Manager, Branch Manager, or in a senior leadership role within the moving, storage, and logistics industry.
- Deep strategic understanding of highly commercial, enterprise-level business environments and complex project management.
- Practical knowledge and operational understanding of residential moving processes, regulations, and customer service standards.
- Exceptional financial acumen, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing branch P&L and driving scalable revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and team-building skills, with proficiency in modern CRM platforms.
