Java Developer

This is for the project CLIENT Bridge Tenant Plan onboarding in Client ASU. The mission for this project is to onboard several external plans to the CLIENT Bridge product. The list of plans includes BCBSNE, WellMark, and Premera. The Java Developer on this project will assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of the CLIENT Bridge application portfolio. This is a hands-on Java coding position.

The project will involve broad Java technologies.

Perform full life-cycle activities in support of Client Bridge Tenant Plan onboarding projects which will include:

• Work with enterprise architect to provide system architecture design documentation
• Drive the detail technical design
• Assist project and development managers to define the scope and develop plan for the project deliverables
• Lead the development team to execute the development plan
• Accountable for specific development tasks
• Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the project
• Conduct code review, unit testing and integration testing
• Document system design, development and Unit testing, and transfer maintenance work to Client internal staff

This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 5 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 5 years experience with Java.

Specific requirements include, but not limited to:

• Object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java technology.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS or another RDBMS. Proficiency with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Experience working in Spring Framework.
• Experience working with Spring Batch and/or Spring Integration.
• Expertise in XML Technologies XML, XSD, Xml Schema and worked on parsers like SAX and DOM.
• Knowledge of JAXB or similar preferred Understanding of JSON Test Driven Development Ability to write automated unit tests.
• Experience with source control management. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
