Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a business or technical discipline

Required Years of Experience:

5 years, or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Responsibilities:

• Design and code application components in an Agile environment utilizing a unit test driven development approach
• Assists in coordination, configuration and operation of application development
• Provides development support for application components and features
• Provides input in the creation and maintenance of sprint and release tasks
• Completes assigned software development Sprint tasks accurately and on time
• Work in cross-functional team; participate in client reviews, Scrum Meetings and Retrospectives
• Performs analysis and debugging
• Supports requirements vetting and facilitation
• Supports documentation
• Provides remediation of security vulnerabilities in applications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in GitHub configuration management tasks and responsibilities
• Experience in Eclipse IDE integrated with GitHub
• Experience as a Java Developer for an Oracle WebLogic and Database platform
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate Java libraries among others
• Experience with build server technologies and end to end automated testing and release environments and processes
• Experience of agile methodologies
• Experience of static code analysis and bug detection tools such as Fortify
• Use of 508 testing tools a plus but not required
• Knowledge of software development of user interface web applications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Ability to understand front-end user's requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Health Care IT experience is a plus
• VA or other Federal Government experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• CMMI Maturity Level 3, ISO 9001:2015 or 9001:2001, and ITIL experience a plus
• Possesses high standards, is results oriented, and maintains a commitment to delivering high quality software on time in a customer satisfaction oriented environment
