Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech

The Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech is responsible for conducting sleep studies and diagnostic tests to assess patients with sleep disorders. The role involves monitoring and recording sleep patterns, analyzing data, and collaborating with healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive sleep studies on patients following established protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot sleep monitoring equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV devices.
• Analyze sleep study data using NATUS sleep works and other scoring tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, test results, and observations.
• Educate patients regarding sleep study procedures and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to review findings and assist in treatment planning.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RPSGT, RRT-SDS, or CRT-SDS certification.
• Demonstrate experience working with pulmonary and cardiology patient populations.
• Proficient in using sleep study analysis software such as NATUS sleep works.
• Knowledgeable about ventilator and oxygen therapy equipment.
• Possess excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible scheduling requirements.
