The Millennia Counseling and Treatment Centre is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. In this full-time role, situated in the vibrant city of Stamford, Connecticut, you will play a crucial part in empowering clients to regain and maintain their independence while improving their overall mental health and well-being. Through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and direct interactions with clients, you will develop tailored care plans that address their unique needs and aspirations.

Work Environment\n

This full-time position offers the flexibility of working remotely while having access to the resources and support available through our outpatient office. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance; therefore, there are no required evening or weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities\n

• You will engage with clients in comprehensive discussions about their goals, preferences, and available options, forming the foundation of their individualized rehabilitation plans.

• Develop and monitor rehabilitation plans based on clients' education levels, aptitudes, physical abilities, and future employment aspirations, adjusting these plans as necessary to ensure continued success.
\n
• Collaboratively work with a team of physicians, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to clients’ specific needs.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date case files and client records, documenting personal information, eligibility status, insurance details, services provided, and comprehensive narratives of client interactions.
\n
• Monitor client progress closely, ensuring that goals are met or adjusted based on performance and needs.
\n
• Provide ongoing support and communication to clients participating in job training, occupational placement, and other programs, proactively addressing any challenges that arise.
\n
• Involve clients' families and friends in care plans to optimize support systems around each individual.
\n
• Analyze client needs comprehensively and produce timely, thorough reports to document progress.
\n
• Create appropriate recommendations and referrals based on individual assessments and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on serving a diverse population of clients, including those with varying mental health and mood disorders. Your experience and skills will be pivotal in guiding clients through their recovery journey, particularly in outpatient settings. Each client’s unique story and challenges will require a tailored approach to effectively address their mental health needs and promote their well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.

• You must possess a current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment, particularly with clients facing mood disorders, in either residential or outpatient care settings.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and shared goals in driving positive change in the community.
\n
• Strong clinical skills in areas such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy, along with proficiency in thorough documentation practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While the listed qualifications are essential, candidates with additional experience in specialized treatment modalities or those who have worked with specific patient populations will be favorably considered. Additional certifications in therapeutic practices will be beneficial for integration into our care model.
