As a Safety Specialist, you'll perform jobsite safety inspections, conduct training, support project planning, maintain compliance documentation, investigate incidents, and partner closely with project teams to ensure every job is completed safely and efficiently.Responsibilities:Travel to construction sites throughout the Western United States to conduct safety inspections, audits, and identify corrective actionsPartner with project teams to develop and implement site-specific safety plans, Job Safety Analyses, and compliance initiativesDeliver safety training, new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and onsite coaching to promote safe work practicesMaintain safety documentation including inspections, training records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance recordsSupport accident investigations, workers' compensation coordination, return-to-work programs, and regulatory inspectionsCollaborate with subcontractors and project teams during pre-construction and active projects to ensure safety requirements are metPromote a proactive safety culture by building trust with field personnel and continuously improving safety performanceRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, related field, or equivalent experienceExperience of construction health and safety with heavy industrial, hydropower, manufacturing, or similar environmentsStrong knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards, construction safety regulations, confined space practices, and scaffolding safetyExperience performing onsite safety inspections and supporting safety compliance on active construction projectsCurrent OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certificationsIntermediate Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manage documentation and reportingAbility to travel at least 50% and work extended hours or weekends when project demands requireBenefitsCompany vehicle, company card, travel reimbursement, and $150 daily per diem for qualifying travel assignmentsMedical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% (employees and dependents)401(k)Three weeks of PTO plus paid holidaysCareer development opportunities with a company committed to long-term employee growth and future ownership opportunitiesOpportunity to work on high-profile industrial projects for nationally recognized clients including Boeing and IntelIf you're ready to build a long-term career with a growing industry leader where safety, accountability, and professional development are valued, we'd love to hear from you!
