Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units. Monitor fetal and maternal conditions, ensuring safe and effective clinical practices throughout labor and after delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status continuously during labor and postpartum.
• Utilize fetal monitoring equipment to track fetal heart rates and uterine activity.
• Administer medications and interventions following clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and clinical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license with current certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of labor and delivery/postpartum nursing experience.
• Proficient in fetal monitoring, fetal assessment, and postpartum care.
• Maintain current ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications.
• Strong clinical skills in maternal and fetal health management.
