Accounting Assistant

Scope and Purpose:  

 

Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, provide accounting support in an accurate and timely manner. It is the responsibility of this position, including, but not limited to the following:

 

To handle, record, and report all phases of cash receipt transactions, bank account transfers, make deposits and record entries for all income on all properties.  To process manual checks and petty cash disbursements, and mortgage and note payments, maintaining all accounting records in a neat, professional, organized and efficient manner.

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Agent and Broker Leasing Commissions
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Line of Credit Draws
  • Manual Checks
  • Mortgage and Loan Payments
  • Preparation of various reports
  • Utility Bill processing

Qualifications:

 

  • Two years of experience in accounting
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and follow through on tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
