Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Active teaching license in North Carolina, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure with an active teaching credential from another state
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred; however, recent graduates and new teachers with the right motivation and commitment are also encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• A genuine passion for special education and a collaborative, solution-focused work ethic

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-teach with general education teachers to modify instruction and ensure accessibility for students with diverse needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Employ differentiated instructional practices to promote student achievement and social-emotional growth
• Regularly communicate with parents, staff, and related service providers to coordinate effective support strategies
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture and ongoing professional development
