Hospitalist Medical Director - Braxton

Position Hospitalist Medical Director – Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Gassaway, WV. Introduction The West Virginia University Health System is the state’s largest health system and employer, comprising 18 hospitals and several institutes across West Virginia, Western Maryland, Eastern Ohio, and Southwestern Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Oversee the Hospitalist program at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Ensure that patients receive the highest quality treatment and provide oversight of clinical care activities. Make staffing recommendations for appropriate delivery of care. Ensure efficient consultation services for Braxton patients, streamline clinical processes, and maintain high levels of patient safety and satisfaction. Oversee quality metrics as established by WVUHS to ensure appropriate outcome measures. Collaborate with physicians, administration, nursing, and technical staff to maintain an excellent level of general clinical care and operations. Organize the development of new clinical programs and innovations to bring the latest clinical technologies and services. Qualifications MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility to obtain a West Virginia medical license. Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program. Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the date of appointment.
