Do you love knowing your work makes a difference at USC? Do you love something new every day you go to work? The Swing Shift Custodial Worker is a full-time staff member of University Housing who is responsible for the quality of living in a designated residence hall(s) at the University of South Carolina. Hours for this position are 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Primary duties:
- Maintains wood, ceramic tile, cement, brick, and linoleum floors
- Responds to emergencies to include extracting water from floors and carpeted areas during flooding in order to prevent water damage
- Assists with the preparation for and clean-up of University special events
- Applies total quality management/continuous improvement principles and processes
This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.
Qualifications: 1 year related experience or equivalency
