Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Lafayette, LA Employer: VISTA Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 12/1/2026 About the Position Are you a Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Louisiana might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; will work until last chemo/biotherapy is completed each day; Saturday call rotation approximately once every 3 months (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) Job Setting: Outpatient clinic with infusion suite (16 infusion chairs) Types of Cases: High-volume, complex patients with co-morbidities; treatment visits, follow-ups, and some new patient appointments; hematology oncology panel; coordination of care required; 10-12 patients per day; no inpatient rounding; no hospital consults Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required Certifications: BLS required; Other certification required Licensure: Licensed in Louisiana; will consider IMLC Experience: 3-5 years of Hematology Oncology experience required; Fellowship required (3 years) Additional Details EMR System: Epic Opportunity Type: Locum to Permanent; provider decision expected within 60 days of start Permanent Salary Range: $108,000 - $135,000 Supervision: Provider will be required to supervise Advanced Practice Providers; Resident/Teaching supervision required Malpractice Insurance: Provided by Vendor Nearest Airport: Lafayette Regional Airport About VISTA Staffing A ClearlyRated Best of Staffing Client and Talent 10-Year Diamond Award winner, VISTA has 30 years of experience optimizing continuity of care for hospitals, medical practices and government agencies across the US.
