Our client in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician to support precision manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up CNC equipment, making tooling and offset adjustments, and ensuring machines are properly prepared for production. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines for production runs.
- Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
- Load and verify CNC programs.
- Set tool offsets and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot setup and machining issues.
- Make adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Previous CNC setup experience required.
- Experience with CNC lathes, mills, or Swiss-type machines preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to make tool and offset adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
