Sr. Network Technician

Industry: Aerospace and Defense Compensation: $31.60 Schedule: 4x10 (Mon–Thurs) About the Opportunity We are seeking someone with experience providing customer service troubleshooting computer issues and offering technical support. This role will handle infrastructure support (touch labor support for network, telecom, print, server), computer break/fix, and troubleshooting in an in‑person setting. Responsibilities Performs identified Move/Add/Change activity to include all required network modifications. Moves/adding connection in network closet and terminating port connections at the end location (conference room, desk, office, etc.). Applies necessary changes within the switch to accommodate port activation. Assists with network design. Supports other network personnel as needed with the installation/modification of network infrastructure and components. Performs basic network monitoring. Sets up and ensures operability of systems and hardware components prior to field deployment. Analyzes failed equipment, performs standard repairs, and tests components or equipment. Repairs and replaces data connectors on network cables and data drop. Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs telephones. Performs data termination/activation in telecommunication closets (activation of data drops). Assists with telecommunications equipment and telephone switching equipment related to processing and transmission. Analyzes existing networks and then designs and creates customized networks and computer systems to meet business needs and ensure smooth operation. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of experience in network connectivity assessment (troubleshooting and setups). Minimum 3 years of experience in configuring network switches, port optimization, and break/fix operations. Minimum 3 years of experience with operating systems such as Windows, Unix/Linux, and Apple. Minimum 3 years of experience providing technical support in an in‑person setting. Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications and networking. Additional Information Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
