Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Engineer in Clifton, NJ. As a Quality Engineer your responsibilities will include delivering mission success and excellence throughout the integrated product lifecycle resulting in defect-free work products and delighted customers.

Day to day responsibilities include establishing robust quality evaluation and control systems for assembly, integration and test of complex electronic & mechanical assemblies, leading support activities across programs ranging from hardware inspections, evaluation of incoming material, electrical test and inspection of build of assemblies, and expert FRB/MRB activities, overseeing issue closure and strategic cross-company implementation of systemic preventive corrective actions.

The ideal candidate must have comprehensive level knowledge of job area, may have in-depth knowledge of project management, a Bachelor's Degree, and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Nice to have skills include expertise with Oracle AGILE system, Six Sigma Blackbelt certification, expertise with IPC standards for hi-performance soldering, coating, connector assembly, expert understanding of AS9100, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

This is a 12-month, contract opportunity. Pay range: $50 - $55 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
