Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced ER RN to provide high-quality emergency care for adult and pediatric patients. This role involves managing a diverse acuity level patient population in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on emergency procedures, patient stability, and collaborative team operation. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in the ER setting, including trauma and acute conditions. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer emergency medications, and monitor multisystem organ dysfunction. Perform phlebotomy, start IVs, and maintain central lines, ensuring patient safety and care standards. Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and conduct procedural sedation as required. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, documenting patient care accurately in Epic electronic health records. Maintain proficiency in emergency protocols, isolation precautions, and managing complex patient needs. Qualifications: Hold an active NY RN license with at least 1 year of ER experience. Possess current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications. Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy, IV placement, and emergency resuscitation techniques. Be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage multisystem organ failure. Willing to work 3x12 night shifts and float as needed in a dynamic ER environment.
