This is an entry-level opportunity suited to individuals with a strong attitude and aptitude to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Operate sheet metal forming equipment such as press brakes (mechanical and CNC), punch presses, turrets, and related machinery to form parts to specification.
- Set up machines by loading materials, adjusting tooling, and aligning parts to ensure accurate and efficient production runs.
- Support the production team by assembling parts, bending, punching, hand forming, deburring, and sawing metal products as directed by supervisors.
- Perform deburring and finishing operations to remove sharp edges and ensure parts meet quality and safety standards.
- Read and follow work instructions, basic blueprints, and process documentation to produce parts that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Monitor machine operations, identify issues such as misalignment or tool wear, and communicate any problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Handle sheet metal safely using proper lifting techniques and tools to move, position, and align materials and finished parts.
- Follow established process flows and lead times to support lean manufacturing practices and on-time delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by following 5S and housekeeping standards in the manufacturing shop.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of hand and power tools, personal protective equipment, and safe lifting practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Work effectively as a strong team player, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Support the company’s quality policy and mission by focusing on total customer satisfaction, high-quality products, and reliable service.
- Flexibly work assigned swing shift hours and overtime as required, including weekends when needed to meet production demands.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training in manufacturing, machine operation, or a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic experience operating machinery or equipment in a production or manufacturing setting.

- Strong team orientation with a reliable, consistent work ethic and attendance.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Availability to work a Monday–Friday swing shift and flexibility to work overtime when required, including weekends.
- Experience with press brake operation, including mechanical and CNC press brakes (such as 4 ft and 8 ft, 80-ton equipment), is a plus.
- Experience with punch press, turret punch, or similar sheet metal fabrication equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of punching processes and punch tooling is a plus.
- Experience with roll forming and brake forming of sheet metal is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CNC machine operation in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or basic technical drawings is a plus.
- Understanding of process flows, lead times, and lean principles in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry, is desirable.
- Prior sheet metal fabrication experience, including line-up and deburring, is beneficial but not required.
- Comfort working in a heavy manufacturing environment that may be loud at times.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within aerospace manufacturing.
You will join a company that prioritizes taking care of its people through comprehensive benefits, development opportunities, and a supportive culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The organization offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and a robust package of medical, dental, vision, life, and accidental insurance. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage, an employee assistance program for counseling and consulting services, a wellness program, and tuition assistance to support your ongoing education and career growth. You will work in an environment that values teamwork, individual accountability, and respect, providing a stable platform to build a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, organized manufacturing shop that specializes in working with steel and sheet metal to produce components for the aerospace industry. The environment involves heavy materials and industrial equipment, and it can be loud at times due to machinery and production activity. You will work primarily on a swing shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work overtime and weekends when production demands require it. The position is physically demanding: you will regularly stand for long periods, use your hands to handle and feel materials, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting requirements include regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more than 75 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available where needed.
