VIP Staffing is Immediately hiring a Front-Line Shop Leader with a great company in Albuquerque

This is a Full time Temp to hire position with a schedule of Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Pay for this position is $20-$28 DOE

Position Overview

The Front Line Shop Lead oversees daily operations for a 4-station door assembly line, ensuring smooth production flow, balanced workloads, and high-quality output. This is a hands-on, working leader role responsible for guiding a team of 5–6 assemblers while actively participating in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership — Lead, coach, and support a team of 5–6 assembly employees in a fast-paced production environment.

• Production Planning — Plan, coordinate, and prepare the team for daily custom orders; ensure the line is balanced and tasks are properly delegated.

• Hands-On Work — Serve as a working leader, actively participating in assembly tasks while guiding the team.

• Welding Operations — Oversee and support team members operating resistant welders, MIG welders, and various hand tools.

• Lean Flow Management — Maintain continuous lean flow production, adjusting quickly to custom daily orders.

• Problem Solving — Quickly identify and resolve stoppages to keep production on schedule; time sensitivity is critical.

• Communication — Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and support departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or assembly environments

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to operate welding equipment and hand tools (training available)

• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues quickly

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, custom-order environment

• Ability to balance workloads and delegate effectively
