Production Technician II

Set up and run a saw, grind, roll threads, chamfer, machine, straighten, and polish using machinery or hand‑held power tools on a variety of metal bar stock. Supply heat treat samples for approval to quality department. Inspect parts using various checking tools and instruments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ability to read blueprints Verify quality of finished parts by performing inspections. In accordance with issued work instructions Move controls to stop or start equipment Remove completed material Measure and mark material Transfer materials or parts to specified work areas using material handling equipment Deburr materials and parts using files or powered hand‑tools Maintain necessary record keeping related to quality inspections and task completion Perform necessary preventative maintenance and occasional mechanical repair on equipment Ability to ascertain when tooling is ready to be replaced Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow safety protocols Perform other tasks as prescribed by team lead REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED Experience: High School Diploma or GED At least 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment Ability to train others Interpersonal communication skills Ability to work well under pressure Willingness to learn other jobs and be cross trained Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
