Details Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, specializing in stroke (neuro) patients 1:5 to 1:6 nurse to patient ratio Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every other weekend and holidays as needed Float required between all Cone Health facilities Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Remote telemetry monitoring experience required; on-unit telemetry monitoring preferred Experience with feeding tube care and management required Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs required Experience with CVA and nasal cannula required Experience with isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac required Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG compliance exam with up to two attempts allowed Additional Information Provide nursing care for cardiac telemetry and neurological/stroke patients, including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted American Traveler Job ID P-748094.
