Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL.

Job Details

• 562-bed Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital,
• Vascular ultrasound unit with an average daily census of 20-35 procedures per day,
• Adult patient population,
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM,
• Overnight and weekend call required,
• 2-3 weekends required per 13-week contract,
• Rotation to an offsite location on Mondays and Fridays on a departmental rotation basis,
• Charting in Cerner (experience required),
• No floating within scope required for this role, though all travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility,

Job Requirements

• ARDMS or CCI certification preferred; license required if applicable,
• Active professional licenses and certifications required at time of consideration,
• BLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted),
• Experience working with an adult patient population required,
• Dialysis graft study experience preferred,
• Cerner EMR experience required,
• Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance deadline to meet fingerprinting requirements,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required,

• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction,
• Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have a 12-month separation before being considered as a traveler,
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• RTO is ideally no more than 5 days for the contract; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility,
• Any scrub color is acceptable as long as it is a solid color,
• Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation,
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
