Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring active IL licensure and hands-on interventional cardiac cath lab experience.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting - Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds,
• Assigned to the Cardiac Cath Lab unit (5-room unit) with an average daily census of 25,
• Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (0630-1900),
• Required to work 2-3 weekends per 13-week contract,
• On-call required as needed,
• Floating within scope is required, including potential float to an affiliate nearby hospital,
• Required procedures include: Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring,
• Required medication experience: Procedural Sedation Administration and Monitoring,
• Charting performed in Cerner (experience required),
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Free parking available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted),
• Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience required,
• Required clinical skills: Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias, Monitoring Procedural Sedation,
• Cerner EMR experience required,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodable; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,

• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler,
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position,
• Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate facilities is a requirement for all travelers in this role
