Overview
Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Bakersfield, California. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week). Pay: $1,997–$2,168 per week. Setting: inpatient NICU care in an acute care environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated NICU nursing care for a patient or assigned group of neonates according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor neonatal status, including vitals, respiratory status, feeding, labs, and growth; respond to changes with critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other disciplines to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining patient safety and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes; participate in handoffs, rounds, and care conferences.

Requirements
- NICU experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an NICU setting
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain thorough documentation
