Service Route Driver Relief Services Location: Chico, CA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $19 - $20 per hour, depending on experience Drive a Route. Serve Customers. Keep Our Community Moving. Relief Services is looking for a dependable Service Route Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for delivering, servicing, and picking up portable restroom units throughout Butte County and surrounding areas while providing reliable, professional service to our customers. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and taking pride in doing quality work. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, customer-oriented, and comfortable with physical work throughout the day. Our team plays an important role in keeping customers' operations running smoothly. What You Will Do Complete Scheduled Service Routes Deliver, service, and pick up portable restroom units according to assigned routes. Maintain service schedules and meet route completion standards. Provide professional and courteous customer service during service visits. Ensure portable restroom units meet Relief Services' quality standards. Operate and Maintain Company Vehicles Complete daily vehicle inspections before leaving the service yard. Safely operate company trucks and equipment. Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route updates, customer needs, and service issues. Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle. Perform Equipment Maintenance and Repairs Clean and maintain portable restroom units to company standards. Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting in the yard and in the field as needed. Identify equipment issues and communicate needed repairs. Support Team Operations Work closely with dispatch and other team members. Adapt to changing schedules and service needs. Assist with additional duties during busy periods, including overtime or occasional weekends when needed. Required Qualifications Valid California Driver's License. Clean driving record. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times throughout the day. Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and moving equipment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to read maps and navigate service routes. Comfortable working independently and managing daily responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience driving delivery routes or service vehicles. Mechanical aptitude or experience performing basic repairs. Experience in a customer-facing field service role. Experience operating trucks, trailers, or similar equipment. Training is available for candidates who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
