HR Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Clerk for an onsite contract opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy administrative support work and helping keep HR operations organized and running smoothly. The HR Clerk will assist with employee records, onboarding activities, filing, document management, and general human resources support functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Scan, file, organize, and maintain HR documents and employee records
• Assist with employee orientation and onboarding activities
• Clean, prepare, and assign employee lockers
• Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR, payroll, and benefits questions
• Enter and update employee information within HR systems
• Process HR-related documentation including pay changes, transfers, leave requests, and employee status updates
• Support recordkeeping, reporting, and audit preparation activities
• Assist with administrative projects and day-to-day HR operations
• Respond to employee inquiries via phone, email, and internal systems
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of administrative, clerical, office support, customer service, or HR support experience
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Preferred:

• Previous HR administrative or HR clerk experience
• Experience using Workday or another HRIS system
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Bilingual Spanish skills

Work Environment

• Fully onsite position in Indianapolis, Indiana
• Office and manufacturing support environment
• Frequent filing, scanning, and administrative support activities
• Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods
