Identify, recruit, and retain top talent for the sales team. Coach and develop the team in selling skills, business and territory acumen, planning and analysis, and account management; instill a culture of continuous improvement. Hold self and team members accountable for performance and behavior. Gather, analyze, and evaluate market, region, competitive, and team performance data to inform business planning and strategy. Build, maintain, and utilize in‑depth knowledge of the unique business challenges and opportunities within the region. Demonstrate optimism and composure in stressful or ambiguous situations; help team members overcome obstacles. Drive engagement and commitment by reinforcing a patient focus. Translate the organization’s commercial strategy into clear tactics and goals for the team. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and stakeholders inside and outside the organization; hold the team accountable for the same. Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity; lead by example. Lead with empathy, care, and trust; model genuine vulnerability and willingness to show the self. Encourage a hunter mentality and a competitive drive to exceed goals and targets. Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent headquarters experience required. Two years of front‑line pharmaceutical sales management experience strongly preferred. A record of successfully achieving goals and coaching effective teams required. Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology. Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull‑through strategies, with experience in all pertinent settings (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice). Proven written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred. New product launch experience preferred. Broad therapeutic area experience, particularly in the therapeutic area preferred. Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Travel & Physical Requirements Regular travel, which may include air travel, weekend or overnight travel. Operates a motor vehicle to complete in‑person sales activities throughout the territory. Sits for extended periods of time at a workstation or mobile equipment. Performs computer work, data preparation and analysis, and extensive reading. Working Environment May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) on site visits (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves). Salary Range The annual starting salary for this position is between $151,000 and $195,000, inclusive of factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
