This is a grant-funded position (funded through June 30, 2027). This part-time Staff Nurse will work seven shifts per pay period (8 hour shifts; includes potential evenings and rotating weekends). This benefit-eligible role is union represented and primarily works day shift. Opportunities for tuition reimbursement and advancement. Successful applicants must have a valid driver's license. **RESPONSIBILITIES** Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care * Educating patient on their disease process * Assuring continuity of care * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being **QUALIFICATIONS** ***Minimum Qualifications:*** * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * Positions in a mobile clinic setting are periodically required to operate the mobile clinic; candidates must have a valid driver’s license ***Preferred Qualifications:*** * Bilingual in Spanish and English * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
