Classification: Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GEDrequired. Minimum of one year work experience in a fine diningenvironment. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Follows all club guidelines pertaining to table setting, order taking and sequence ofservice. Knows and is able to communicate the menu items and dailyspecials. Knowledge of and ability to perform required roleduring emergencysituations. Job Summary (Essential Functions) Set and clean dining room tables before, during and after meal service; assist food servers with miscellaneous tasks. Job Tasks/Duties Assists Servers in their set-up, service and clean-uptasks. Serves water as members and guests areseated. Assists in carrying food trays totables. Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish-washingarea. Removes soiled linen and replaces with cleanlinen. Sets tables with silverware, glassware and otheritems. Cleans dining roomareas. Stocks servers’ station withsupplies. Collects trash from dining room, grill and other specified places after each servingperiod. Dusts chairs before and aftermeals. Keeps ice bins and bucketsfilled. Sets-up, empties and cleans saladbar. Cleans and stores child highchairs and boosterseats. Collects soiled linen from dining room, transfers to linen pick-uparea. Takes packaged take-out orders to reception stand for memberpick-up. Folds napkins and breadbasketlinens. Cleans-up spills, broken service ware and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption todiners. Assists Dining Room Manager and other employees in assuring that the club’s policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistentlyfollowed. May assist banquet personnel in setting-up, serving and cleaning up after banquetfunctions. Polishes silver serviceitems. Moves tables and chairs as needed for the next member and guestdiners. Re-sets tables at end ofshift for the next mealperiod. Assists with banquet and buffetsetup. Helps to maintain a fully stockedbuffet. Performs other appropriate duties asassigned. Licenses and Special Requirements Must beof legal age to serve alcoholicbeverages. Food safetycertification. Page Break Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist orreach.
