Associate Principal - Architecture

Role Databricks Architect / Sr Data Engineer Location Edison, NJ Remote Must Haves Candidate should have at least 6 years of experience working on data workflow development in Azure stack with Databricks and ADF as primary skill. Strong understanding of Azure service components such as SQL DB, SQL Server, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, Blob storage, and ADF. Excellent knowledge of developing end‑to‑end data ingestion pipelines in ADF and using ADF for ETL/ELT orchestration. Very strong experience in Databricks; must be able to develop and optimize Databricks notebooks and jobs. Experience in Python, Spark, Scala is a plus. Excellent SQL skills including knowledge of SQL Server DDLs for creating data models and complex SQL calculation scripts for manipulating data per business logic. Working experience in Azure Databricks Asset Builder, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD tools throughout the SDLC cycle. Good to Have Advent of migration tools to move existing data structures into SQL Server Synapse for migration projects. Understanding of data quality concepts and ability to write SQL scripts for specific DQ checks. Exposure to other Azure components such as Blob storage, Logic Apps, AAS, and Power BI. Ability to guide junior team members on proper design and development. Strong communication skills; may need to coordinate with Microsoft for issue resolutions.
