Residential Building Porter - Union Position
We’re in search of a hard-working team player to join us as a residential building porter. You’ll be in charge of the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of our building. A typical day includes vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing floors, shampooing carpets, and any additional maintenance duties as needed. If you take pride in a clean space and love working on a team, fill out an application.
Schedule:
Sunday: 7 AM – 4 PM
Monday: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Friday: 7 AM – 4 PM
Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
This is a union position (Local 670), which includes health and pension benefits.
Compensation:$20 -25 hourly
Responsibilities:- Complete regularly scheduled maintenance duties like cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, supplying restrooms, changing light bulbs, and performing minor repairs
- Ensure the building is clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Perform daily janitorial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, dusting furniture, and emptying trash
- Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
- Remove dangerous hazards and clean up spills with squeegees or sponges
- Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
- 1+ years of experience as a janitor, cleaning crew member, or similar position
- Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- In good physical condition with excellent health
- Must have a U.S. driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
