Under general direction of the Personnel Supervisor II, the Personnel Supervisor I is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Transactions Section which performs activities that support CDTFA’s personnel transactions programs. The Personnel Supervisor I provides supervision, technical expertise, training, and guidance to a team of 4-6 Personnel Specialists (PS). Directs, plans, organizes, prioritizes, assigns, monitors, and reviews staff workload. The Personnel Supervisor I acts as a liaison with control agencies, applies, and interprets Government Code Provisions, collective bargaining agreements, and directives from control agencies. In addition, this classification is eligible for an annual recruitment and retention bonus of $2,400 to $4,800 with the completion of the required qualifying pay periods.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.

Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California's Personal Leave Program.
