The UNC School of Social Work invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor to serve as a part-time Project Manager supporting a three-year, school-based behavioral health prevention initiative within the INSPIRED Lab. In this role, the Adjunct Assistant Professor will provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the project, working closely with the Principal Investigator, Project Coordinator, Lead Interventionist, Lead Evaluator, and a broad network of collaborators including school personnel, community partners, and state agencies. Responsibilities include maintaining the overall project timeline; coordinating activities across participating schools and partner organizations; monitoring progress toward implementation, evaluation, and engagement milestones; supervising key project personnel; and proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges. The Adjunct Assistant Professor will serve as the primary operational liaison between UNC and school partners, managing communication and logistics with a high degree of independence while consulting with the Principal Investigator as needed. Reporting to Dr. Trenette Clark Goings, the position will supervise the Project Coordinator and Lead Interventionist and play a central role in ensuring that project activities remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with grant and institutional expectations. This is a grant-funded, time-limited appointment requiring approximately 8 hours per week in Year 1 and 10 hours per week in Years 2 and 3, with primarily remote work and occasional in-person, evening, and weekend engagement to support project implementation and community activities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements - Master's degree in social work, public health, education, research administration, psychology, public administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience - Experience managing school based, community based, behavioral health, prevention, or research projects. Familiarity with implementation science, intervention development, program evaluation, or grant funded research. Experience coordinating multisite research or program implementation. Experience working with advisory councils, community partners, or state agencies. Experience preparing funder reports, project updates, or grant related deliverables.
