Charge R.N. - DOU - Full Time - Nights - 12hr FPH

Job Summary The Charge Nurse is responsible for supervising staff and the operation and overall flow of the unit on his/her designated shift, and is a role model for all staff. They coordinate unit schedules and staff assignments, participate in performance appraisal, and ensure staff meet the approved Standards of Practice. The Charge Nurse promotes cooperative working relationships with physicians and other health care providers. They provide patient care as needed and assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame, coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the assigned units. Responsibilities Supervise staff and manage unit operation and flow during designated shift. Coordinate unit schedules and staff assignments. Participate in performance appraisal process. Ensure compliance with Standards of Practice. Promote cooperative relationships with physicians and other providers. Provide direct patient care as needed. Assume responsibility for a group of patients, coordinating and implementing care plans. Qualifications Minimum of two years acute care experience. Excellent customer service skills. Current RN license in the State of California. BLS certification. ACLS certification within 3 months of hire/transfer. NIH Stroke Scale Certification "A" within 3 months of hire/transfer. Annual 1 hour of Stroke Education required for staff working at ICH and QVH. Pay Range $55.64 - $88.43 #J-18808-Ljbffr Emanate Health
