Part-Time Product Inspector – E-Commerce

Born To Race is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented person to process our weekly customer returns at our Islandia warehouse. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, hands-on work and is comfortable using a computer.

This is a permanent part-time position working one consistent weekday per week for approximately 8–10 hours. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Open and organize returned packages
• Match each return to the correct order and product
• Inspect merchandise for wear, damage, stains, odors, missing parts, and packaging issues
• Take clear photographs and document the condition of each return
• File eligible marketplace claims with accurate photos and supporting information
• Clean, steam, fold, retag, and prepare eligible products for resale
• Repackage products neatly using the correct packaging and accessories
• Separate items into resalable, repairable, discounted, and non-resalable categories
• Update returns and inventory records on the computer
• Return approved merchandise to the correct warehouse location
• Prepare a weekly list of items returned to inventory, claims filed, and damaged products
• Keep the returns area clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Reliable, honest, and highly organized
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using a computer and smartphone
• Able to work independently and follow instructions
• Comfortable standing and performing light warehouse work during the shift
• Able to lift packages weighing up to 15 pounds
• E-commerce, warehouse, inventory, quality-control, or returns experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, or similar platforms is a plus

Schedule:

• One consistent weekday per week
• Approximately 8–10 hours per week
• Daytime shift
• Additional hours may become available based on performance and return volume

Pay: $16–$23 per hour, depending on experience
