Human Resources Manager Full Time SG&A Fountain Valley, Fountain Valley, CA, US Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $105,000.00 Annually About ISC Established in 1971, ISC began building custom power cables & assemblies for Gateway, Kingston, and Xerox. With over 50 years of manufacturing experience, ISC is capable of meeting tight deadlines and changing forecasts while maintaining quality. Our products are in use worldwide in commercial and military aircraft, lifesaving medical devices, weapons systems, inflight entertainment, power systems, and countless commercial, industrial & computer applications. Our facility is environmentally controlled, engineered for manufacturing flexibility, includes dedicated assembly labs for isolated program management, and a cleanroom facility. With dedicated professionals and assemblers regularly operating two full shifts, ISC operates with the most current high-speed tooling, material handling, and test equipment. Job Overview The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for executing and supporting key human resources initiatives. This role serves as a strategic HR partner to leaders across the organization while managing day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition support, and workforce development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about building strong employee experiences, supporting business objectives, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. This is a highly visible HR leadership role that serves as a trusted extension of the Vice President of Human Resources and a key advisor to site leadership. What You Will Do Partner closely with the Vice President of Human Resources as a trusted extension of the HR function, supporting strategic initiatives, advising leaders, and driving programs that support organizational growth and operational objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, and employees on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns. Act as the primary HR point of contact for designated business units and departments, representing HR in leadership meetings and employee‑facing initiatives while building strong relationships across the organization. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR team members to support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts for manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations, and administrative positions. Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee integration processes to ensure a positive employee experience and successful transition into the organization. Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives in partnership with business leaders. Support compensation and benefit programs, including employee communications, annual review processes, and market benchmarking activities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements, leave administration, and workplace investigations. Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and related documentation. Coordinate and support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action plans. Facilitate employee training and development programs, including leadership development, compliance training and manufacturing workforce development initiatives. Monitor and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, recruiting effectiveness, and employee engagement to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Support safety initiatives and collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to promote a safe and compliant workplace. Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies. Lead employee engagement, recognition, and culture‑building initiatives that strengthen retention and employee satisfaction. Participate in continuous improvement efforts that enhance HR processes, systems and employee programs. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. Experience supporting both hourly (non‑exempt) and salaried (exempt) employee populations. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Experience managing employee relations, performance management, and compliance programs. Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders across multiple functions without direct authority. Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Experience administering HRIS systems and maintaining confidential employee information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. PHR, or SPHR certification. Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC standards, or similar quality management systems. Experience supporting multi‑site manufacturing operations. Prior experience operating as an HR Business Partner or stand‑alone HR leader within a manufacturing environment. Experience leading organizational change, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives. Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese communication skills. Experience with compensation analysis, workforce analytics, and HR reporting tools.
