Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel) for a hospital inpatient unit in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 09/08/2026. Contract duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,574-$1,682 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. This is a travel - temporary assignment in an adult/geriatric med-surg setting. The unit uses Epic for charting and operates with a patient ratio of 1:6.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care on a med-surg unit for adults and geriatrics
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV access, bleeding/pain control, and assist with post-operative and trauma care
- Support renal/AKI management, wound/ostomy care, and management of common med-surg conditions
- Perform and document assessments, interpret ABGs as needed, and participate in rapid response and codes as indicated
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams (IV/vascular, PT, RT, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, transport, interpretation) and participate in discharge planning
- Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols; monitor for patient safety and quality of care
- Document thoroughly in Epic and comply with unit/organization competencies; float to other units if clinically competent

Requirements
- Licensure: current RN license in Idaho or a multi-state (compact) license in hand at submittal
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Experience: 2 years preferred; travel experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN license
- Skills: proficiency with invasive lines and IV therapy; ability to work in a fast-paced med-surg environment; competency with Epic charting; ability to interpret ABGs and participate in rapid response
- Work authorization: ability to work in the listed setting and comply with onboarding requirements
