Our client seeks a senior Business Analyst and Project Manager who will also serve as Product Owner for a seven-person data and analytics team. The consultant will backfill a departing full-time employee with intent to convert to permanent. The role supports a data warehouse with data marts for manufacturing, sales, and Milk Bank operations. Work includes enhancements, development, maintenance, production support, and new AI initiatives leveraging Microsoft Copilot. The consultant will partner with business stakeholders and technical team members, manage priorities and Jira backlog, and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $48.00 to $53.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering and business analysis for data and analytics initiatives.
• Manage project plans, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination.
• Serve as Product Owner and manage priorities and the Jira backlog.
• Support one project at a time in most cases, with a maximum of two concurrent projects.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders and technical team members.
• Learn manufacturing and Milk Bank operations and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Support new AI initiatives involving Microsoft Copilot.

Experience Requirements:

• Senior-level Business Analyst experience.
• Hands-on Project Management experience.
• Product Owner experience.
• Experience with data warehouses, data marts, BI, analytics, or reporting projects.
• Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server proficiency.
• Jira experience.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Microsoft Copilot or transferable experience with another AI tool.
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements-gathering skills.
• Ability to work independently as the team's sole BA/PM.
