Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Confidential (Manufacturing Environment)
Salary: $55,000 (flexible based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Status: Full-Time, Exempt Preferred

Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a driven and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations. This individual will play a key role in onboarding, payroll support, employee relations, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience
Support and manage various aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system
Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and policy interpretation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (California labor law experience is a plus)
Partner with management on HR initiatives and workforce planning
Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
Assist with audits, reporting, and HR documentation
Work in a union environment, maintaining awareness of collective bargaining agreements and related practices

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role
Experience working with HRIS systems required (UKG experience strongly preferred)
Knowledge of payroll processes and HR compliance standards
Exposure to union environments preferred
Familiarity with California labor laws is a plus
SHRM certification or working toward certification is a plus
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Proactive, “go-getter” mindset with a hands-on approach
